SPORTPONY CLASSES
This show is a qualifier for the Sportpony Starsearch Challenge Championships, with the final judging to be held at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto Ontario on November 16th 2008. Open to all ponies of sport pony type and need not be registered. Updates available at www.royalfair.org
ASPR registered ponies may accumulate points at this show to count towards the American Sportpony Registry year end awards program. Program requirements & nomination information can be seen at www.americansportpony.com
Ponies must measure 14.2 hands or under and may be measured before the class. Proof of age MUST be available at the show. Ponies to be of Sportpony type and need not be registered. To be eligible for ASPR awards, a copy of American Sportpony registration papers must accompany entry and/or proof of eligibility of registration/inspection pending with the ASPR. To be judged on suitability in both conformation & movement to become a Sportpony excelling in ridden & driven pony sports, such as, dressage, hunter, jumper, driving. Ponies to be judged: Conformation and Type 50% and Movement 50%. Ponies shown in hand must be in a suitable bridle or show halter & must be handled by a competent handler. Ponies shown Under Saddle must be shown in English tack. Juniors may not show stallions. Unmanageable ponies will be removed from the show ring. Ponies shown on line will be asked to walk and trot at the Ringmasters direction. Ponies shown under saddle will be asked to walk, trot and canter in each direction at the Ringmasters direction. Qualifiers at this show must enter & meet the requirements of the Royal entry department.
STARSEARCH CHALLENGE CHAMPIONS QUALIFIER CLASSES.
In each of the following classes 1- 6, THE 1ST PLACE WINNER will become the qualifier eligible to enter the 2008 SPORTPONY DIVISION at the Royal. If this winning pony has already qualified at a prior show then the 2nd place pony becomes the qualifier. There will be no concession for ponies placing 3rd or lower to qualify at this show.

C.S.H. GRAND CHAMPION ( OPEN TO CHAMPION/RESERVE CHAMPION OF ALL C.S.H. DIVISIONS, PROVIDED SAME ARE SIRED BY A REGISTERED/LICENCED CSHA STALLION OUT OF A REGISTERED CSHA MARE-F1 OR HIGHER)
25. JR HANDLER ( OPEN TO JR HANDLERS UP TO THEIR 19TH BIRTHDAY.) The animal may be owned or borrowed. No stallions or colts except weanlings to be shown. Class to be judged on presentation of the animal to the judge, neatness and appearance of the handler and overall condition of the animal. Confirmation will not be the determining factor, but may count 15%. Hard hat to be worn by Jr. handlers. If 4 or less entries, class may be combined with Novice Handler. NO ENTRY FEE
26. NOVICE HANDLER (OPEN TO Novice handlers in their first three years of showing on the line). Same rules as above. If 4 or less entries, class may be combined with Jr Handler. Hard hat to be worn by Jr handlers. No entry fee.
